(UK, 1165730) Friends for Life is a registered charity (number 1165730) which provides friendship and company to residents of Bedfordshire care homes. Friends for Life recognises how effective friendship is in reducing loneliness and recruits volunteers to become personal befrienders who can offer time, friendship and company to those who most need it. Most, but not all of those benefiting from Friends for Life befrienders are older people and Friends for Life offer their befrienders to any resident who is in need. Friends for Life befrienders make a real difference to the lives of those they visit and the work we do is enthusiastically endorsed by social services.

We work carry out many little acts of kindness including regular deliveries of essential toiletries to homeless shelters, bereavement resources for schools and improving rooms and gardens in hospitals, hospices and counselling charities.
