As a local, user led, mental health organisation Solihull Mind seeks to improve the quality, quantity, and accessibility of services for people with emotional distress. Our own services support these beliefs, enabling people to move towards the lives they want using whichever of our services they need, when they need them; whether for a one-off situation needing help or guidance; for longer term support, perhaps using more than one service; or returning to a service when needed at a particular time. We also provide support to access other services. We provide a variety of services including therapeutic services such as counselling and support groups; social support/activities including a drop-in, music, art, and horticulture; practical support around, for example, benefits, housing, financial issues and employment; and information and advice on particular diagnoses or mental health issues and what help is available.
