Here at A.C.T, we are here to help and support people who are about to go through or have gone through a Stem Cell Transplant or a Bone Marrow Transplant, as these are extremely difficult situations to come through medically and mentally, especially if Graft Vs Host Disease occurs. By helping and supporting A.C.T you will be a part of a very close family, which not only assists the Medical Professionals and help provide essential medicines for patients about to undergo a Bone Marrow Transplant and Stem Cell Transplants, you will also aid the Trust to provide love and support to the families and friends of the patient.
MICAIA supports the work of the MICAIA Foundation and its local partners in Mozambique. MICAIA provides technical support and funding to support programmes that include developing local enterprise, assisting farmers in gaining better access to markets, facilitating community learning, and working with communities to take local environmental action. The Friends of Mponegele Aids Orphans (FOMAO) was set up in May 2002 to provide financial assistance in support of the work of Mponegele Ke Itirele, a registered non-profit organisation working with AIDS orphans and other vulnerable children in the Mankweng area of Limpopo Province, South Africa.
Nottingham Children, Young People and their Families Project (CYF), is a registered charity which works with children and young people experiencing social exclusion and extreme disadvantage in inner-city Nottingham. CYF works with these children and young people to improve their quality of life, aspirations, confidence and self esteem, using innovative, creative, engaging programmes of work and activities. They work to achieve this vision by making it their mission to alleviate emotional distress and reduce the incidence of suicide feelings and suicidal behaviour.
We are here to prevent and heal the trauma of rape and sexual assault. We will aim to heal by providing and maintaining a supporting framework for victims and their families that includes a dedicated helpline, website, on site counselling and access to highly qualified and specially trained counsellors. We will aim to prevent the incidence of rape and sexual assault in Jersey by educating the general public, lobbying the states and generally promoting progressive and forward thinking attitudes regarding survivors of rape and sexual abuse.
