Development Coll is a development trust based on the small Isle of Coll in the inner Hebrides. With a population of just 190, Coll is a true small rural island community. Development Coll manages An Cridhe ('the heart'), which was completed in 2012, and is the community centre and heart of Coll.
Our mission is to support the emotional, social and educational growth of our community's youth. Our programme pairs children and young people with horses to improve emotional wellbeing, help build confidence, trust and life skills through theraputic interactions.
In the immediate day's after childloss, we enable families to focus on their grieving instead of the mundane day to day tasks, with food vouchers. We also facilitate keepsakes and counselling.
