Many thanks for your support!** Geese Theatre Company is a small team of experienced performers and practitioners presenting innovative and interactive performances and projects in the criminal justice system. Geese believes that drama is a powerful and effective tool in working with offenders and young people at risk. We use a variety of creative approaches to encourage individuals to examine their own behaviour and as a catalyst for promoting personal development and change. We work across the country with: Geese provides a wide range of activities in partnership with the prison and probation services which include: Examples of projects: Journey Woman - a week-long creative project to help women prisoners break the cycle of hardship, offending and prison. “I got so much more than I expected from the workshop. I would say that all eight girls got some new skill that they can use in prison and in their new life out of prison.” Journey Woman participant, HMP Foston Hall Re-connect - for male and female prisoners. Re-connect uses theatrical performance, drama exercises, skills practice, role-play plus Geese’s trademark metaphor of the mask to explore issues connected with release and re-connecting with a life outside prison. “It gave me confidence. I never had confidence before. It gave me strength and made me realise a lot of things. It made me think deep and open up my eyes…This is the first time I’ve had this experience in my whole life.
