Ulfa Aid works to support those who are marginalised, isolated and vulnerable across the globe and here at home, via Ulfa UK. Globally, we have worked in Pakistan & Indonesia following natural disasters. This year in the UK we have set up the unique Rumi's Cave & Rumi's Kitchen community projects.
Leith Community Archers began with a community showing of the film Brave, along with a trial archery session back in February 2013. Around 100 people attended the event. This was organised by Inspiring Leith part of a new community project across Scotland called Link Up run by Inspiring Scotland and hosted by Bethany Christian Trust in Leith. The aim was to build community around activities and see people gaining and sharing skills. The club achieved SCIO status (SC045559), breaking away from Inspiring Scotland to run as an independent charity and is managed by a group of volunteer coaches and regular attendees. The aims and objectives of the Club is to ‘The advancement of public participation in sport’. ‘The provision of recreational facilities, or the organisation of recreational activities, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the persons for whom the facilities or activities are primarily intended’. The club has also adopted a strong sense of community awareness and aims to reduce the effects of poverty and strenghen community bonding and equality. The club is run by a group of volunteer coaches and regular attendees, voted into posistion at the annual AGM to lead the direction of the club. We are part of Archery GB and Archery Scotland and our focus is on indoor archery using Recurve bows. We have three sessions on Thursday evenings during term at Leith Academy school, the first two are family sessions followed by an adult session. Registered Scottish Charity: SC045559

Lex's Legacy pride of the Isle is in memory of Alexander Strong, A brave beautiful 7 year old boy who lost his battle to child cancer neuroblastoma in 2013,we support bluebellwood children's hospice where lex spent his last few days,we are also committed to helping children with disabilities to make a better quality of life,supporting children and adults that are terminally ill to create special memories for them and their loved ones and to support needs within the community
The aim of the charity is to raise enough money through fundraising and grants to be able to provide a specialist swing, trampoline, roundabout and climbing area together with some sensory equipment adjacent to an existing park. This park will be used by all disabled children in the South Wales Area

Working in the village of Utange Kenya, we have completed the build of a vocational unit for 150 young people with disabilities to give them hope for a more independent future. We aim to empower their parents to be able to afford this continuing education through our Business Startup Program.
