We have supported children with special needs since 1969, previously running as a local charity and becoming part of Two Rivers School in 2015. Our nursery is one of only a few in the country in the early years sector with the expertise to offer appropriate provision and multi agency assessment. Our aim is to support children and their families, providing an environment and resources to enable each child to shine and reach their maximum potential. We assist children during the EHCP assessment ensuring that they receive the support they need to continue on their educational and personal journey. Please donate to support our cause. YTD Raised: £0.00The Transport Benevolent Fund (TBF) is a charity registered in England and Wales (no. 1058032) and in Scotland (no. SCO40013). It was set up to support those who work in the public transport industry in Great Britain when they are in need, hardship or distress. For £1 per week (which can be deducted from members’ pay at source), we offer a wide range of benefits including: Cash grants and advice Legal advice (but not on employment matters) Counselling Convalescence Recuperation Osteopathy Chiropractic treatment Reflexology Acupuncture Other complementary treatments Medical equipment and living aids Homeopathy and herbal medicine Hypnotherapy Second opinions Scans and tests Prescription season tickets Physiotherapy Chiropody (for working members) While the fund is governed by a Trust Deed, it is run democratically. Local Committees appoint a Council, which in turn elects the Trustees. These Trustees control the charity; they are responsible for the fund’s safe custody and the provision of benefits. The Trustees appoint a Director for day-to-day management of the charity. The Director in turn appoints staff to help him run the charity on behalf of the Trustees. As well as appointing Council members to oversee the running of the TBF, Local Committees discuss all TBF matters and consider requests for financial help from members within their areas. TBF is thus a democratic organization with Trustees who are accountable to the membership. This is the main reason we are different to many other organizations.

These consist of the Holiday Centre and part of the Ty Glyn Estate, which has a restored walled garden, woodland walk and river frontage on the Aeron River, all accessible for wheelchair users. The centre welcomes people of all ages with special needs, their families, friends and carers.

Until now, the donations were made from private individuals, but over the years, our work and ideas have developed and expanded. Our mission is to support education of underprivileged children in Africa and we are succeeding in doing so through our ever expanding support network of corporate and individual partners. Our aim is to raise funds to pay for internet connectivity, teaching, and training courses for underprivileged children. Funds are also allocated for clothes, food, school materials, school fees, toys and other items necessary for daily living of children in orphanages and children’s homes. We only make donations to organisations that we have personally met and that we have established long-term working relationships and a long-term support plan. Our main activities are currently in Ghana.
