Educators International (UK, 1156412) Browse events

YTD Raised: £0.00

Educators International (EI) supports system-level education change in poor countries by providing UK expert advice at low cost, through highly qualified volunteer consultants. We head-hunt experienced professional educators and managers willing to volunteer their time for free, and match them to developing countries’ needs for advice and expertise. We work across all phases, from early childhood to secondary, vocational and university levels. If our volunteers need to travel abroad, we make all necessary arrangements, and the local government meets the out-of-pocket costs. They may also provide continuing support from the UK. EI’s unique feature is our ability at minimal cost to transfer system-level education expertise across continents. The knowledge transfer goes both ways, because our volunteers’ involvement in key education reforms overseas enriches the UK education system.

Windermere Educational Trust Limited (UK, 526973) Browse events

YTD Raised: £0.00

ANNUAL FUND 2012-13 Windermere School is an independent, co-educational day and boarding school in England's Lake District National Park, that educates students from age 3-18 years. Truly international in nature, the school offers GCSEs, the International Baccalaureate Diploma and vocational qualifications. Each year our Annual Fund provides parents, alumni and wider supporters with the opportunity to enrich the lives of students.  2013 is a special "target year", in which we hope to make a real difference through funding projects to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the school.  Our key objectives are: a) New, comfortable seats and a "face lift" for Crampton Hall.  The school's  theatre is the "shop front" for our talented students and a venue used widely across the school and by the local community. Donate £150 to be included on a "Wall of Fame" or £300 to dedicate a plaque on one of the 302 seats that we will purchase. b) A Bursary fund, to help others to benefit from an education at Windermere School.  If 150 people each donate £150, this will fund a day student at the school for two years, or a larger number of students with part-assistance. Most successful independent schools have grown as a result of support from benefactors, and Windermere School is no exception. All major additions have been funded in part or totally from donations - Crampton Hall, classrooms, Jenkins Centre, the all-weather pitch, Westmorland House and the pod classrooms at the preparatory school are examples. The School is not able to achieve all of its educational objectives and ambitions from fee income alone. There is a big difference between "running costs" and "development". The Annual Fund is intended to help bridge that gap in very specific ways and to make things happen to benefit all students. Your help in this is greatly appreciated. By supporting the school you will  help to create opportunities for present and future students.  Thank you.
