The sponsorship money raised through Everyday Hero will be paid initially into the Rotary Club of Sawston District Charity Account where it will be eligible for Gift Aid. All of the money will then be distributed to the designated beneficiaries. By combining their skills, resources and enthusiasm, Rotarians make a real contribution to local communities by raising tens of thousands of pounds for community projects and local charities. Members also volunteer their time - supervising community events, running a host of projects aimed at promoting the achievements of young people, coordinating educational programmes, and supporting local businesses. It’s not surprising that ‘Community Service’ is the traditional and well-known public face of Rotary.
