YTD Raised: £0.00

Boston CAB is your local independent charity that gives help to our community. We receive no direct government funding support – every penny that we raise goes towards providing improved help and support for our community.    Our service is free to use, independent, impartial and confidential.  We see over 5,000 people every year and provide the help they need at the time they need it.  Our advice is quality checked giving you confidence to use us. We deal with the problems that affect people’s lives face-to-face, on the telephone, by e-mail or through promoting self-help by using the national Citizens Advice website – www.adviceguide.org.uk .  We know that our timely advice reduces stress, worry and anxiety, keeping people in their homes and trying to ensure they have enough money to live on.    Finally we ensure, via our social policy activity, that bad practice is reported both locally and nationally.  This allows us to pressure those who are involved in these practices and get them to change their ways.

YTD Raised: £0.00

Invisible Traffick (Formerly FPI) is a registered charity that was launched in 2012 to stamp out human trafficking in the North & South of Ireland.Thank you for visiting our profile page on MyDonate. Invisible Traffick is committed to addressing the issue of human trafficking in both Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. The various sea and airport points of entry into both jurisdictions, combined with poor border controls between them, make it an ideal environment for criminals engaged in the trafficking of human beings. We work by raising awareness, engaging in education and collaborating in partnership with the authorities, government and NGOs. Our mission at Invisible Traffick is to see men, women, and children freed from the slavery of human trafficking, living life with hope and abundance. We believe the inhumane way that men, women and children are treated needs to stop, and needs to stop now! We are aware of the desperate cries of the victims who are longing for someone to help…. we want to be that somebody. With relentless application, courage and faith we believe we can achieve our goal. We aim to provide the advice people need for the problems they face in areas like debt, benefits, employment, housing and consumer; last year we helped more than 1,300 people with over 5,500 different problems, with many receiving specialist advice in debt and welfare rights. Equally important is our aim to improve the policies and practices that affect people’s lives by collecting evidence and campaigning for change.  We value diversity, promote equality and challenge discrimination. The contribution made by our volunteers aged between 19 and 79 is vital; coming from all walks of life and bringing a wide range of experience plus enthusiasm and energy, they underpin all that we do.  We know that the lives of many of our clients are changed for the better by the help and support received from the volunteers.  What is less well known is that volunteering at CAB can be a life changing experience too, a fact with which many of our volunteers will agree.
