The organisation is run by a team of committed volunteers. Membership of our Association is open to all who share our aims and we are keen to hear from anyone wishing to join. Our members regularly visit schools, colleges, universities, community groups and other organisations to give living witness accounts of their personal experiences as refugees, hidden children and survivors of concentration and death camps. Our website contains filmed testimony of Holocaust survivors, learning resources for schools and a detailed evidence base of original historical records made available in partnership with the German National Archives at Bad Arolsen. We provide advice and guidance to a wide range of organisations holding their own Holocaust-related events and activities including filming, arts and culture. The HSFA also has a pastoral role in promoting friendship, mutual understanding and support between survivors themselves and between people of different faiths and cultures.
