KEY was set up in 1992 by volunteers from local churches that came together after a homeless young man died on the streets in winter. As a grassroots organisation we have strong links in the local community especially with churches and schools. We see ourselves very much as a community response to homelessness. Each year KEY supports up to 400 young people aged 16 - 24. Typically they vulnerable, unemployed often with health and emotional problems.
