(UK, 1165713) Browse eventsWhat is the problem you are trying to solve? The South Indian Muslim community in the borough of Croydon, who came to make their living in UK, has slowly built since the late 70s and 80s. Like minded professional migrants in mid 2000 noticed that this community lacked guidance on education, career progression, women up-liftment and economic prosperity. This resulted in communal deprivation and a lack in “sense of belonging.” Why do you care about this? We find the community scattered and lost the sense of belonging. The progression on the community and the younger generation are quite week. This hurt us and so Alhidaya is born. This will set as a platform to bring unity in the community upliftment How will the money be spent? Money will be spent to build the community center. We have already locked the property and having short of funds to complete the full transfer. When will supporters see the difference? The initial work have started , Fund raising is in progress, refurbishment have started and trying to achieve completion by 1st week of April. Once the community is fully functional the society can see a remarkable difference
