This long established autumn Ride starts and ends at Broomfields, Fulbrook Lane, Elstead, Surrey, GU8 6LG and has approximately 40 optional jumps from 1’6” to 3’3” in height. The course is about 8 miles in length crossing private woodland, farmland and commons providing wonderful views of the Surrey countryside. The Ride attracts 300-500 riders of all ages (children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult) from all over the South of England and the safe operation of the Ride is due to the assistance of 80 volunteers who act as Jump Stewards, Road Crossing Marshalls and Parking Supervisors.Proceeds from the Ride of approximately £12,000 are donated to a number of local charities including Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice, Riding for the Disabled and Ash Friends of Shooting Star Chase as well as a number of other deserving causes in a 50 mile radius of the location.Ride details and Entry Forms can be found at out website and the Ride can be contacted by emailing [email protected].
