The purpose of the C B Dennis British Beekeeper's Research Trust is to support research at institutions, by individuals and to encourage young scientists through the provision of grants for agreed projects and broader bee science that benefit bees and beekeeping in Britain and beyond. The Charity was started with a legacy from Mr C B Dennis, which provided the initial capital for the Trust. Support for research projects is provided mainly by the interest and totals around £30,000 each year. All donations will help us maintain and hopefully extend our support for research into the many threats faced by bees, particularly bee diseases. YTD Raised: £0.00Centrepoint Outreach is a Christian charity which helps and supports homeless and vulnerable people in Boston and the surrounding area. At our premises in Red Lion Street, Boston we have a Drop In Centre run by our Project Workers and volunteers which provides a safe and friendly environment where clients can come for a hot drink and a snack. The Project Workers are able to listen to individuals privately, providing help and support as necessary including signposting them to other local agencies for more specialist support when required. The Project Workers also work with clients on a one-to-one basis to empower them to bring about lasting change in their lives.We provide practical help to those sleeping rough by supplying sleeping bags, blankets and flasks of tea or coffee. Rough sleepers are also able to have a shower and we can provide replacement clothing from items which have been donated to us. We also wash and dry clothing for those most in need.We give emergency food parcels containing enough food for up to 7 days for people who find themselves in a situation where they cannot afford to feed themselves.We also recycle furniture and other household goods which have been donated to us by supplying them to people in need in return for a nominal charge. They are trying to raise money for research into children's cancers because, in their words: "Adam Dunning is our hero and it is impossible to explain how hard life is without him! We want to raise money to fund research into all types of children's cancer to stop other families from losing children to this horrific disease and going through the hell that we do on a daily basis!" Please help us to make all childrens' cancers curable...Thank you.
