Raising money to support local causes large and small from individuals to organisations involved in all aspect of the local community and also international disasters supported by Lions International. We have secured international disaster funds for funding to support those affected by flooding in our local towns of Malton & Norton. We provide a subsidised fish and chips round to old people in Malton and Norton during the winter months and help organisations and families with all kinds of needs from practical help, moving items of furniture and clearing out buildings to financial help to make ends meet in emergency situations. We provide parties for special need children and even a week’s holiday on the beautiful north Yorkshire coast for those who otherwise would not get any kind of holiday. We raise the money for all this with two main events; We invite Santa to join us with our specially built sleigh, and we then spend 2 weeks taking him and the sleigh around Malton, Norton and all the surrounding villages. It has become an event all look forwards to, young and old alike and it raises a significant amount of money, we are supported in this by local businesses who kindly sponsor us. In the summer we run a Golf Day at Sandburn Manor and raise a great deal of money through the golf teams and sponsorship, a good time is had by all. Lions consider all kinds of request for support and are keen to help anyone who is genuinely struggling with ordinary life and the unfortunate things it can from time to time throw at us. We like to put a smile on people’s faces and have fun doing it. Please support us, we can help those you would never be able to otherwise.

(UK, 1135261) Browse eventsInternational We are a Christian congregation made up of people from different countries and backgrounds. We are also connected to other congregations throughout the UK and Europe. But, though we may be made up of many nationalities, we are all committed to building a community in Ealing, London, and beyond. Presbyterian To be Presbyterian means to be linked with other churches so that we are kept accountable. Church The Bible describes the church in all sorts of ways, but the simplest way of describing a church is a group of people who are in a relationship with God through Jesus Christ. Though the media often refer to the church as an organisation, and when giving directions someone may point out a 'church' as a landmark, the essence of a church is people. Church members are committed to help each other grow as Christians and communicate to those who don’t know God.
