The School has a very hard working and active group of parents and teachers who organise different social events during the year. Last year we organised a Christmas Fair, Teddy Bears picnic, a table quiz, a relay marathon, sold trolley tags and had various discos for the children. The year ended with a huge BBQ in the playground attended by over 800 parents and children – at the BBQ there were lots of stalls and entertainment to keep both children and parents happy. We hope to do more of the same this year. Your help and support is always welcomed.

We are now a registered charity and our aims are to meet the needs of disadvantaged young people and their families. The Pod Youth Club opened in 2013 and provides a fully staffed leisure opportunity for disabled children. The Zone opened in 2015 and welcomes young carers who benefit from chilling out and having fun with other children who are in the same boat! The Children and Young People that access The Pod Youth Club and The Zone are encouraged to take part in activities and learn new skills whilst also having the freedom to hang out and relax in a safe, supportive and friendly environment. Activities are led by the Young People that come to our clubs with the help of experienced youth work teams who have the skills to enable our members to reach their full potential.The Pod recognises the families that access our clubs are often vulnerable and isolated and we provide opportunities for them to get involved in community events.
