Support 1.5 million dreams From poverty to opportunityDream a Dream UK, established in December 2012, is a charity that is inspired by the work of Dream a Dream, India, an NGO based in Bangalore, India.Dream a Dream India, our strategic partner, has been working with children and young people in India since 1999. These young people live in adversity and are vulnerable to the challenges of the frantic pace of change in an uncertain world. Dream a Dream India’s programmes and partnerships have helped thousands by developing their life skills. These skills are critical in overcoming adversity, making healthy life-choices and breaking the cycle of poverty. The UN estimates that, unlike declining Europe, India's workforce will increase by 135 million by 2020, to around 600 million. At least half of these will come from vulnerable backgrounds of adversity and disadvantage. Dream A Dream UK was setup by a group of volunteers who were deeply inspired by the vision and programmes of Dream A Dream India, a registered children's charity in India. The primary aim of Dream A Dream UK is to promote and enhance the impact of local charities in India especially Dream A Dream by helping them raise funds from the UK, gain access to volunteers and build awareness about issues of child development, education and youth in India. YTD Raised: £0.00

Thank you for visiting our profile page on MyDonate. We are a registered Scottish incorporated charity which aims to raise funds to provide relief from Malaria and poverty in affected regions across the globe, focusing on children who are the most vulnerable. The World Health Organisation states almost half the world’s population risk malaria with 214 million new cases each year, resulting in 500,000 deaths; mostly children, who can be infected up to 13 times a year. The mosquito bite can also be loaded with other dreaded diseases including Yellow Fever, Zika Virus, Viral Meningitis, Dengue Virus & Encephalitis. We purchase & deliver WHO approved, ISO compliant mosquito nets. Our long lasting, king sized nets have a cuboid design which creates a sanctuary for children to read/play whilst minimising skin contact during sleep thereby reducing bites through the net. We freely distribute these through existing Gospel-sharing Christian missionary & humanitarian outreach infrastructures which enables us to reach groups of people that mass distribution efforts by governments are unable to meet.Extremely low overheads means virtually all finances raised, provide the aid. £500 delivers over 225 nets protecting 4+ children each for 6 years . We also invest in their education, with Scottish schools sharing curriculum & teaching strategies with their local schools whilst providing school supplies & children’s clothing.
