Together with the Children is dedicated to permanently ending the misery of street children. It is the sister organisation of the JUCONI Foundation (Juntos Con Los Ninos) which has transformed the lives of thousands of children and their families in Mexico and Ecuador. For many children living and working on the streets of Mexico and Ecuador, JUCONI is their last chance. JUCONI works with highly excluded children who drop out of or are missed by existing state and voluntary service provisions. Every time such children are failed by another organisation, they become more detached and less trusting that their lives can be improved. For the majority of children supported by JUCONI, integration into a safe family environment is the result of the intensive and personalised work carried out by highly trained educators over a period of time. However, for some children, the creation of a safe environment in their familial home is not possible and, in those cases, children are housed and nurtured in JUCONI House. JUCONI has developed a pionnering model to address the needs of street children and their families and shares this knowledge worldwide through its training programme.

The Kings Theatre works to be at the heart of our community in Portsmouth and enrich lives through the arts. Our aim is to provide the community with opportunities to experience and participate in high quality theatre and arts activities. We host Drama, Music, Dance and Comedy live shows. Our education work focuses on offering arts participation opportunities through tours, workshops and hands on experience. We firmly believe in training at work and working with young people. Passionate about offering young people opportunities to develop and gain experience in the performing arts, this work is cemented by regularly involving community groups, local schools and the Kings Youth Theatre. A recently opened Community Space will take our work in the community one step further by offering regular creative learning opportunities for everyone: weekly activities in arts, film, creative writing, dance, crafts, music and drama. We will focus on creating arts participation opportunities for individuals with limited resources. Designed by the great Edwardian theatre architect, Frank Matcham, and opened in 1907, the Kings is undergoing a continuing restoration programme that has already seen £2,000,000 spent on upgrading this historic grade 2 listed theatre. Fundraising Galas, bucket collections, grants and donations have all contributed to the efforts to raise the necessary funds for the work. Fancy fundraising for a thriving and exciting theatre? Then the Kings is waiting to hear from you!

It is also central to a number of diseases such as heart attacks, strokes, dementia, liver cirrhosis and Emphysema. The emphasis of the research is rooted in the challenges faced by medical staff working with patients in Plastic Surgery units. Let me first begin by introducing ourselves. Our grandfather was known as Rambhai Prince of Baroda, which is situated in the western state of Gujarat in India. He received his prince status because he had a heart of gold. When we say a heart of gold, what he did for people there was worth so much more. Homelessness and starvation is rife in India, and we really want to help in carrying forward our grandfather’s legacy. Our grandfather ensured that anyone that turned up on his doorstep was invited in and treated like a member of the family, and fed until they could eat no more. We are a newly based charity company and we are working on our first project, which is to help raise funds for the homeless kids is KASTURBA SEVASHRAM in India. Of course there are many other institutions that require funding for various needs, but we can only take on one project at a time until we grow more. We have now raised more than £5,000 so are now registered with The Charity Commission for England and Wales. The Company registration number is 7274909 and the Charity Registration number for England and Wales is 1136542. If you would like to be part of our mission to help disadvantaged children, then please help us by making a donation. You can also support the charity on a long term basis by signing up to making a monthly donation. Donations can start from as little as £1.00. Thank You RAMVIJ
Lawn Pre-School is a popular and successful Pre-School, catering for the needs of children aged 3 to 5. We provide an exciting and stimulating learning experience to help children gain the confidence and skills they need ready to start school. Our friendly and highly trained staff help each child feel safe and secure and able to reach their potential. The Pre-School is a charitable, non-profit making organisation, run by a committee of parents. Unfortunately, fees alone do not provide all the funds we need in order to offer all the vital equipment and resources required to provide a wide variety of activities for the children. Our fund raising team work alongside the staff and committee to raise funds that go towards the purchase of new equipment, days out for the children and improvements to the Pre-School. It also allows us to fund extra staff hours for when we may need to provide important one-to-one time for any of our children who may need it for whatever reason. ANY DONATIONS YOU ARE ABLE TO MAKE ARE GREATLY APPRECIATED. THANK YOU!
We are the charity of the Worshipful Company of Horners in the City of London. The Worshipful Company of Horners is one of the 110 City Livery Companies. It is governed by a Royal Charter granted in 1638 and supports the traditions of the City & the Lord Mayor. The Horners traditionally were the Guild governing the fashioning of animal horn into a wide variety of utensils and objects. Being made of keratin, a natural plastic, the Horners have, since 1944, supported the Polymer & Plastics Industries. For 2017 our Master, Alison Gill, chose Blind in Business as her charity for the year. This charity was founded in 1992 to assist blind graduates and students, and companies who wish to employ them. The Charity has helped more than 800 blind people het into work, has delivered over 650 training courses and has given specialist career and technology training to over 7000 school children. The charity also helps those who are losing their sight and who are already in employment to retain their jobs. What we do We offer a confidential emotional support service to those who are in distress, including those who are suicidal and we have been doing so since 1960. We are volunteers who offer support to such people by phone, e-mail and face to face. We also do work in two local prisons. We have premises in the centre of Liverpool, near the universities and have to be entirely self-funding to keep our service available for the local community and Merseyside and for anyone who wants to phone or email from anywhere.
The Friends of Bolnore Village Primary School is made up of enthusiastic parents and staff who work together to create fundraising & social events that raise much needed funds to further enhance our children's learning experiences and enrichment opportunities at school. Like many others, our school’s budget is struggling due to the current Government budget cuts and funding formula proposals. In light of this, the Governors have asked for our financial help towards the provision of Forest School & Music. These are both areas of the curriculum which the school would struggle to continue operating in their current unique and successful manner without your support. It is very likely that we will be asked to support these and other essential curriculum areas for the foreseeable future. So, more than ever before, the fundraising by FoBVPS and the parents/community who support our events are making a real difference. Every donation is appreciated, no matter how big or small and directly benefits the children at the school. If you would like to support the school, you can make a one off donation or set up a regular monthly donation is this page. A donation can be anonymous and the great thing is that as a charity we are also able to benefit from gift aid e.g if you donate £5 we get the donation and an additional £1.25 in gift aid 😊.Alternatively, if you would like to set up your own fundrasing event, do a sponsored activity or simply just raise funds for the school, then click on the 'create a fundraising page' or contact us and we can help set it up with you. With your support we have previously been delighted to be able fund the provision of Forest School and Music, computers, iPads, educational workshops, sports & outdoor play equipment, elf day classroom presents and much more.Thank you for visiting our BT Donate Page and your support. Calstock Parish Archive is run entirely by volunteers and financed by grants from local bodies, donations and sales of publications based on the collections. Our volunteers are always ready to share their knowledge, enthusiasm and skills. We receive visitors and enquiries from all over the world and are delighted to help others in exploring our heritage. This engagement often adds to the collections and our own knowledge. In April 2019 we became the first community archive to achieve the Quality Mark awarded by Cornwall Record Office. Our parish forms part of the Cornish Mining Landscape World Heritage Site but has natural beauty so most visitors and many residents have little idea of the rich industrial and social heritage which surrounds them. Our aim is to collect as much information and record as many memories as we can before they are lost in order that we can conserve and pass on this knowledge for the enjoyment of our community, visitors, researchers and future generations. Calstock Parish Archive was created in 1985 as the result of a scheme to provide work for a number of people in an area of post-industrial depression. The resulting collection was safeguarded and enlarged by The Calstock Parish Archive Trust, registered as a charity in 1999. Shared accommodation at Calstock Village Hall became inadequate for working on the expanding collections, so the Archive moved to a dedicated room in the Tamar Valley Visitor Centre at Drakewalls in 2009. This room rapidly reached its capacity and the search began to find a larger but affordable space in which to properly care for and research the collections. We are moving (autumn 2019) to the disused mortuary chapel in nearby Albaston Cemetery which will provide storage facilities for the archive collections and flexible working space available to be hired by community groups. We need funds to carry out a staged development of our facilities and volunteers to help sustain this exemplary community archive.
Invisible Children uses the power of media to inspire young people to help end the longest running war in Africa. Our model has proven effective, and hundreds of thousands of people have been called to action through our films and the volunteers that tour them. Our approach to humanitarian work is founded in the strength and intelligence of the Ugandan community. We learned early on it was not only important but essential to heed the wisdom of people that had not only lived in the war, but were surviving it. People who would know better than anyone what the greatest needs were and the best ways to meet them. What we came to find is that while there have been many efforts to address the issues that stem from living and fighting in such a long-lasting war, the people of Uganda are asking for a future beyond the conflict. Their pleas have become our development strategy. All of our programming is a partnership between those of us at Invisible Children and those in the Ugandan community. We focus on long-term goals that enable children to take responsibility for their future and the future of their country. Our programs are carefully researched and developed initiatives that address the need for quality education, mentorships, the redevelopment of schools, resettlement from the camps, and financial stability.
Freya was a beautiful little girl, born in 1999 with several life-limiting conditions. She was never expected to see her 1st birthday but she celebrated 5 birthdays, each one with a big noisy party in the garden. She communicated in her own special way, mostly by touch and she had the most infectious giggle. Her gorgeous rose-bud lips were adorable and they framed a fabulous smile. She was a joy to spend time with and everyone who met her could not stop themselves falling in love with her. Freya died on the 14th December 2004, at home surrounded by lights, music, and her family. She leaves behind a fantastic big brother Tom and has left a huge gap in our lives, one that we will never fill. Freya loved music and it became a huge part of our life, it provided valuable therapy for her and always soothed her if she was in pain. In Freya’s memory I have set up a charity called FreyaBeya which raises money to enable special needs school to buy in live music. The Arts are sadly very much forgotten within the narrow constraints of the National Curriculum! FreyaBeya gives total freedom to teachers to introduce children to ANY type of music, allowing it to be child-led rather than curriculum-led. THIS IS A HUGE PLUS!! The music ranges from Soundabout-type stuff (resonance boards right through to high-tech sound beams) through to any type of genre, depending on what motivates the child. Thank you for supporting FreyaBeya Sarah-Jayne - Freya’s Mama.
Decuria Youth Club was founded in 2009 and is run by volunteers for the benefit of young people in the local area. Some of our young people, ages 11-18 are within the autistic spectrum and many have educational difficulties. We aim to increase self esteem and promote self confidence by giving the young people opportunities to try a range of different activities - cooking, sport, outdoor pursuits. We also provide a safe place for these young people to meet and socialize with friends and peers in a supervised environment on a weekly basis. Decuria Youth Club runs solely by fundraising activities and the work of a dedicated team of volunteers.
