Carers of West Lothian provides information and support to individuals who provide unpaid care (i.e. it is not your job) to a family member, a friend, or a neighbour who could not manage without their help. The individual may require help due to illness, disability, frailty, mental ill health or an addiction issue. We also provide an information and advice service to people with a physical and/ or learning disability.
Loving Humanity provides, at cost, ready-to-ship micro-factories that produce washable and disposable sanitary products to those in need. By providing sanitary products we are restoring personal dignity where it’s been lost—in war zones, refugee camps and slums. Our factories are staffed by refugee or vulnerable local women who, through their work, find or rediscover their self-worth. Menstruation and incontinence are not a choice. Every man, woman and child deserves personal comfort and dignity, even in the direst of circumstances. Our wider vision also is that girls everywhere should be free to attend school unhindered by a lack of a ‘period pad’. Ways to help: - become part of the 'Heart of Loving Humanity' by committing to a personal monthly donation of £5 or more - tell others about Loving Humanity - encourage your employer or company to sponsor a factory on behalf of its staff

We are a small local charity based in Barking & Dagenham providing high quality fun and social clubs and activities for children aged 5-18 years who have a disability or additional need (those children who are unable to attend other mainstream groups/clubs or sporting activities because of their high level of needs). We believe that all disabled children and young people should have the opportunity to reach their full potential and have the right to be fully included in the community. We place a strong emphasis on encouraging social skills and independence focussing on each child's ability, rather than their disability.

Our much-loved building has recently been declared beyond long-term maintenance and is at the end of its working life. Despite this, we are currently thriving, with full sessions for the year ahead and a waiting list. We need a new building. We have permission to relocate within the school grounds with full support from Somerset Council, but to make this vision a reality, we need to fundraise on a massive scale. Our goal is to raise £50,000 to match a grant bid and help us take the next BIG STEP towards a new purpose-built home. The new building will provide up to 40 places, ensuring we can support more families and continue playing a vital role in the early years for local families.
