YTD Raised: £0.00

Musequality, founded in May 2007, sets up and supports music projects for some of the poorest children in the developing world. Our aim is not to produce professional musicians but to give vulnerable children the chance to learn skills – such as self-confidence, problem-solving, numeracy and goal-setting – and build a sense of identity that will give them a route out of poverty and away from the risks of drug culture, violence and crime. Founded by David Juritz, internationally acclaimed violinist who busked his way around the world fundraising for the charity, read more about us at www.musequality.org.

Facebook post 11 December 2015It was just over six weeks ago when the nurse kindly asked my visitors to step aside. She knew what was coming. She drew the curtain. We were alone. She was sensitive to the situation, as she knew this was a poignant moment. She was cool peeps too, I liked the way she let her natural hair crown her being. Plus, she never minced her words and always laughed at my foolishness. Deftly she presented this cup of tablets, the shock on my face could not be masked. I mustered a 'WTF!' She looked at me and then I understood why this moment had to be private. This was my 'welcome to chemo moment'. My biggest race had began!
