Thank you very much for taking a look at our page, we hope we have inspired you to support us in improving maternity services in Hoima, Uganda. If you would like to see more of what we have achieved or are planning, please follow the links below. Thank you.  MAMA is a midwifery led organisation based in Hoima, Uganda with Ugandan and U.K. midwives working towards improving maternal and neonatal outcomes in remote areas of Hoima. Mothers often have difficulty accessing care from a skilled birth attendant during pregnancy and childbirth in difficult to access villages.Through outreaches and our static clinic MAMA is able to implement WHO and the SDG guidelines and recommendations. We screen, diagnose and treat HIV, malaria and syphilis early and appropriately, ensuring the mother is in the best possible health to deliver her baby and look after her family. We offer regular maternity services which include a robust referral system, antenatal care, delivery, immunisation, family planning and health education to the mothers and their famillies, thus striving to reduce health inequalities in the Hoima District. By meeting mothers regularly we are able to build a rapport with many of the women and can build a relationship of trust. We identify high risk mothers, advise them the safest place to deliver their baby, and offer them a bed in one of our waiting homes while they wait for delivery.  Charity No: 1173745 Find out more Website Please click here to visit our website Facebook https://www.facebook.com/MAMAUganda Twitter https://twitter.com/mamauganda YouTube https://m.youtube.com/channel/UCHa_-BhwVj_hrRf23Z0aVQA
