Dartmoor Rescue Group (UK, 286680) Browse events

YTD Raised: £0.00

DARTMOOR RESCUE GROUP is part of Mountain Rescue in England and Wales. Mountain rescue in the UK is free of charge to the casualty but we rely on the support and generosity of the public to maintain this valuable community service. Without you, we simply could not function. There are several ways you can support the work of the DARTMOOR RESCUE GROUP. It costs a tremendous amount to fund a mountain rescue team, one vehicle alone costs upwards of £35,000. But there is also a very large overhead in the running and replacement costs for items such as rope, which must be replaced after a given time, even if they have not been used. It costs about £30,000 a year to run the team and every penny you give goes to help mountain rescue teams of the DARTMOOR RESCUE GROUP

YTD Raised: n/a

The Bishops’ C of E and RC Primary School serves children and families from across Springfield and further afield. We would therefore like to improve the local facilities not just for the school, but for the local community, and we are proposing to build ‘The Bishops’ Community Hall’. The plans include simple kitchen facilities, changing rooms and shower rooms and toilets, all accessible for the disabled, and access from the School’s car park which means that the building is separate from the main school. We are seeking interest from local organisations who may wish to use this facility and we wish to align our aims with the long term aims of the local council to ensure that Springfield continues to develop its facilities to support the interests, aspirations and activities of local people.
