Education is one of the most effective weapons in the battle against HIV– it gives children vital information, support from teachers and friends and skills to help them earn a living after school. We enable over 8,000 children to go to school by providing uniforms, shoes, books, pens and other equipment, and paying school and exam fees. Once they graduate, we help some of them train as teachers and peer health educators so they can pass on life-giving education to thousands more youngsters. (UK, SC051608) Browse eventsAultbea Hall, a superior 'Nissan Hut', was originally built for military purposes during WWII, and then gifted to the community. Generations of local families and visitors to Wester Ross have enjoyed sporting, social, drama and musical activities through the years ever since - until our Hall was closed in 2018, given the need for structural repair. Post-pandemic, Aultbea Hall Revival! is the project, led and generously supported by local people, to bring the facilities back to full community use. The Crow’s Nest meeting room and both kitchens, with new electrics throughout, reopened in summer 2023. Now the Revival! project is in the final stages - the repair and refurbishment of the main Hall. We know that many local groups and families are impatient to enjoy, once again, its space, atmosphere and opportunities. All monies raised now will make this a reality sooner rather than later.

Comprising a group of parents from across the school, our main aim is to raise vital funds for the school, and to bring staff, parents and children together socially in support of the school. All parents are automatically members of Friends when your child joins our school. Thanks to the wonderful support of our committed parents and the local community over the years, Friends have successfully raised thousands of pounds for the school. This money has been invaluable in funding many projects that enhance the children’s education, and help to create the happy environment that makes Roundwood Primary such a special place. The success of our goal of supporting the school both socially and financially depends entirely upon the support we give. Without the help of parents, our events simply cannot take place – so we urge our parents to please get involved! Not only is getting involved fun, and a great way to meet other parents, but your child will also enjoy participating in events and will enjoy the benefits of the funds we raise! By working together we can make a difference to our school.
