The Vivat Trust is a registered charity and a national building preservation trust. It was established in 1981 with the aim of restoring at risk historic buildings into short stay holiday lets. The Vivat Trust has no endowment and relies on grants and donations for its project work.

The Branch works through the county to support the work of the national Society. All donated funds are used within the county. The Branch's main role is finding new homes for domestic pets rescued from neglect and cruelty by RSPCA Inspectors. We also help needy people with vets' bills.

It targets women who are socially excluded or isolated, e.g. women with a history of abuse, on low incomes, with few social networks, single mothers, carers, etc.
