The Company of Arts Scholars, Dealers and Collectors Charitable Trust (UK, 1121954) Browse events

YTD Raised: n/a

The Company is the only body to represent all those involved in the study, curation, collection and trade in antiques, antiquities and objects of decorative and applied art; we also welcome those involved in related services. We gained official status as a Guild within the City of London in April 2005 and were recognised by the Court of Aldermen as a Company without Livery in September 2010. One of our principal objects is to build a Charitable Trust so that we can, for example: - provide educational bursaries for young peiople; - encourage and support historical projects within the City of London, including its museums and other similar organisations; - assist individuals and groups connected with the professions and trade; - provide for needy members of the Company and their immediate families; - preserve our heritage for future generations; - support the Lord Mayor, Shrievalty and Aldermen of the City of London Corporation. CASDAC has already sponsored the publication and launch of several academic books, supported courses on the care of valuable collections of works of art and on historical subjects and given grants to conservation students. We intend to create a separate Educational Charitable Fund to increase the scope of educational aid in relation to antiques, antiquities and the decorative and applied arts. Your support for CASDAC's Charitable Trust will enable us to grow this important work which is so much appreciated by those who benefit from it. We too appreciaite your help.
