(UK, 1100310) Hope House School is a unique school for children with Autism. Through specialist one to one attention we aim to transform the lives of children with Autistic spectrum disorders. We are busy transforming a derlict site into a safe and stimulating environment for autistic chidlren to learn and grow. We have a sensory room as well as our teaching rooms and a beautiful sensory garden with play equipment and spa. We are also home to many animals (including donkeys, pigs, chickens and rabbits) whom the children can care for. We organise evening activities for autistic spectrum children who attend main stream schools so that can socialise and learn from each other. Our future plans include restarting our siblings support group and a councelling group for families. We work with the Newark and Sherwood Autism Support Group and various other local groups and partners. 45% of our income is from fundraising and donations. We are very grateful for our dedicated team of fundraisers. Without them Hope House would not be possible. Our annual Ball is always great fun and we organise themed open days and events. We also accept applications from volunteers for grants to help with placement fees. Individual volunteers can also fundraise through the Trust for their own placement expenses.
