Pupils from key stage three laced up their trainers and their walking boots and took part in a phenomenal sponsored walk on Thursday 12th July to raise funds for the renovation of Parkside Community College’s front playground. Accompanied by their teachers, the students walked from Parkside to Grantchester Meadows where they took part in fun, team building activities before returning to Parkside for the end of the school day. To bolster our children's efforts we would like families to continue to support their endeavours to raise money for the front playground at Parkside. So the PTA has kindly offered to support us to raise more funds over the summer and into the academic year, so please continue to keep active and keep giving for this worthy project. Please make a donation, and encourage your friends and family to do so, because together we can create a fabulous playground surface which will benefit our children's sports classes and clubs. Thank you so much.
The HSA is Clapham Terrace’s name for the Parent Teacher Association or PTA. We hold events for children and parents each year to raise money and to have fun. Who are the HSA? All parents, carers of children and members of staff are automatically members of the HSA. We hold meetings every half-term to help decide what we fund and how to raise money, or to help organise, set up or clear up at events. We are always looking for extra pairs of hands! We have a chair, secretary and treasurer , communication and design director as well as class reps – all of whom are volunteer parents. What’s the HSA all about? We have 2 purposes of equal importance. Firstly, we raise money to help fund activities and equipment that the school isn’t able to fund from its normal budget. We also provide social opportunities and fun activities for us all to enjoy together, helping to promote the family and community atmosphere that is so important to our childrens’ experience of school. We aim to fund a mix of projects each year that support a range of school and extra-curricular activities
