The goal is simple, to alleviate poverty, and improve the lives of vulnerable children living in the area, of which there are many. Here at Share Tanzania we believe that a solution to many of the issues we see ourselves and others facing here on earth lays in the simple action of sharing. Sharing our time, resources, love and ideas can help to heal a great deal in this world. Share Tanzania provides a direct link to Africa which allows all funds raised to go directly to those in need. Share Tanzania is run entirely voluntarily which means all the money that arrives in Tanzania is put directly to good use by supporting the Feathers Tale Children’s Village, Uchira Children’s Fund, Angels Gate Centre for Street Involved Children, Kilimanjaro Animal Rescue, Community and Environmental Projects which are the foundations for our work.

Blackburn foodbank is part of the Trussell Trust national network of foodbanks, providing a minimum of 3 days worth of nutritionally balanced emergency food and support to local people in crisis in Blackburn.We collect non-perishable food which is donated by the public through churches, schools and supermarket collections. Front line care professionals e.g. social workers, doctors etc refer people to the foodbank with a voucher which is exchanged for 3 days worth of food. Over a chat and a drink we listen and signpost clients to other agencies for support. Rooted in a church community, a Parish Nurse combines the benefits of health with spiritual care care and community resources. Parish Nursing has a strong foundation in Christian faith but is offered unconditionally to people of any faith. Accountability is normally through the local church, and to the Nursing and Midwifery Council. Parish Nursing operates in consultation with other health providers and projects are locally funded. Professional skill, care and compassion are qualities a Parish Nurse brings as part of a ministry team, for the benefit of that team and church, and for its community. The collaborative ministry includes training and co-ordinating of volunteers to participate in the church’s care for its local community.
