Tameside and Glossop Branch - preventing cruelty and working for the welfare of local animals since 1899. The Tameside and Glossop Branch of the RSPCA is separate and independent from the National Society and is managed and operated entirely by volunteers. The charity raises funds locally to care for animals brought in by RSPCA inspectors, which have often been subjected to appalling cruelty and neglect and is dedicated to improving the lives of animals in the local area. The branch works to promote kindness and prevent and suppress cruelty to animals and achieves this through a programme of animal welfare promotion, including welfare microchipping, neutering and veterinary treatment assistance to owners facing financial hardship. Thank you for visiting our profile page on MyDonate. Freshwaters Contact Centre's primary focus is to provide a neutral, safe environment to enable contact between children and their non-resident family member/s. We have been doing this successfully since we started in 1994 and have seen thousands of children establish or re-establish those vital relationships. We provide a safe neutral meeting place where children can meet with parents, grandparents or siblings that they have been separated from because of family breakdown. We operate one session a week on a Saturday morning, providing Supported Contact.Freshwaters Contact Centre makes no charge to users of it’s services in order to ensure that no children are denied the right to see their parents just for financial reasons. There is, however, considerable cost involved in processing applications in such a way that everyone fells safe and the chances of contact being successful are maximised. Those costs are met through donations and grants from individuals, churches, trusts and other organisations. If you could help us with a regular or one off donation, however small, then you will help us to continue our work in ensuring more children grow up knowing both parents.
