This is a joint project to refurbish our hall for use by Porchester Scouts & Guides. The present hall is old and in a bad state of repair. Our Hall provides a fantastic space for upwards of 150 young people & adult volunteers to meet in Scouting, Guiding each week. The hall also caters for other community groups & bodies looking to hold events. The groups uing e the hall are not for profit groups & funds raised have barely covered the cost of operating the hall with the result that the hall requires a once in a generation upgrade of its electrics, toilet, showering and kitchen facilities. The leaders aim to offer all members many opportunities, appropriate to their age. Including residential events, camps & holidays. Adventurous activities, climbing, walking and water activities. The programme includes giving service within the local community and beyond, leadership skills & team building. All life skills which many of our members find useful long after they have ceased to be a Scout or Guide. The leaders are keen to ensure that we continue to offer this but need to raise £15,000 to do this. Please help us. Thank you.
