About Pace Parents Against Child Sexual Exploitation (Pace) is a national charity, based in Leeds, that works alongside parents and carers of children who are – or are at risk of being – sexually exploited by perpetrators external to the family. We offer guidance and training to professionals on how child sexual exploitation affects the whole family. Our Work When a young person is groomed for sexual exploitation, the whole family unknowingly become victims of this devastating and vicious form of child sexual abuse. Parents need relevant and timely advice, information and support in order to respond to the effects of child sexual exploitation on their family and in order to get their child free of their abusers. For over 15 years, Pace has set out to: Your Impact Your support to Pace goes towards parents and carers like those in the video below who have a child affected by this abuse. "I rang up Pace and spoke to a lovely lady called Sarah who became a rock all the way through it." - Parent Your Donation Your donation supports our services for parents affected by this terrible abuse. £5 pays the expenses for a volunteer to visit a distressed parent. £30 enables a parent to attend a network day and meet other affected parents. £100 pays for a month’s specialist support to parents. £400 allows us to provide expert training for up to twenty professionals on best practices for supporting affected parents. Help us be there for families so that they can rebuild.
Bravo Medics saves lives in the local community by sending highly trained critical care doctors to the very sickest of patients to support the local ambulance service. These doctors, who all work full time for the NHS, volunteer in their own family time and are on call to drive on blue lights to the scene of accidents or medical emergencies where they provide hospital level care, that would otherwise be unavailable, and can mean the difference between life and death. Ambulance service paramedics are highly trained to provide treatment to patients with all manner of injury and illness and either safely discharge them on scene or transfer them to hospital. The volunteer clinicians from Bravo Medics complement this care by offering high level interventions, normally only available in hospital, to the most critically unwell patients seen by the ambulance service. Sadly, there is no state funding through the NHS for this additional, potentially life-saving care, so it is provided by charities like us. Based in Bristol and Avon we are primarily tasked to patients in Bristol, Bath and North East Somerset, South Gloucestershire and North Somerset - but we also attend incidents in Somerset, Gloucestershire, Wiltshire and Wales when our specialist skills are required. Thank you for your donation, your support is vital to continuing the work of our volunteer clinicians.
