Bags of Mercy, C/o Southampton Vineyard Church (UK, 1045724) Browse events

YTD Raised: n/a

Thank you for visiting our profile page on MyDonate.  We are a local charity in Southampton who provide welcome bags to women's refuges and safe houses in Southampton and the surrounding area.   We help those who arrive in women's domestic abuse refuges and safe houses for trafficked men and women. The bags provide basic essentials to help people get on their feet, and deal with the transition from their fled environments to building a new life. They often arrive with only the clothes on their back & no immediate access to money, so things such as toothpaste and shower gel are greatly appreciated. We started off serving 1 refuge, and this has grown to 5 refuges and 3 safe houses: those whom we served were so appreciative of our help that they passed our details on to other refuges/safe houses.Bags include such items as toothpaste, toothbrush, shampoo, shower gel, conditioner, towel, flannel, nightwear, hair brush, sanitary wear and deodorant. In the children's bags we also include books and a soft toys. Please donate to support our cause.
