Well we're in our third year and the renewed interest is looking good.  A huge thank you to everybody who donated money, attended the ball, bought/donated auction items or entered the 2012/13 Finchley 50.  The great news is we all raised £15kfor the new roof and the work was completed last Summer. The even better news is that the Finchley 50 2014 is back this year - bigger and better than ever! For those of you who may be new to this event, just a quick synopsis. There are four key ingredients which make this such an awesome event: Don't forget there's a 25 mile option and you still get all the benefits of the 50 miler, without the sore backside!  You can put a team of up to 4 in and do 12.5 miles each.  Whatever your cycling prowess we'll fit you in somewhere. Thank you for visiting our profile page on MyDonate.Winchester City Penguins is a registered charity that exists to create opportunities through swimming.  We have over 1000 members from the very young all the way through to our more senior swimmers. Fundraising plays a vital role In order to create the best opportunities for all of our swimmers.  We run swimming activities for the whole community from those youngsters learning to swim, through development and competitive squads, performance swimmers, adult squads, even adult swimming lessons and school swimming.We run a strong competitive squad programme with swimmers at county, regional and national standard, as well as Club swimmers swimming for health and social reasons. We run a thriving Learn to Swim Programme focused on providing the highest quality swimming lessons possible to ensure that young people develop water confidence, as well as excellent stroke technique. Uniquely among swimming clubs we run a community outreach programme which aims to ensure inclusive access to swimming for all. We believe swimming is a fundamental life skill, which increases individuals’ safety near water as well as developing confidence, dedication and responsibility.
