In order for Jellytots to continue supporting and helping our children have the very best start in life, fundraising is vital in not only providing new toys and games, but essential equipment such as cameras to capture their learning journeys. We are one of the largest scout groups in the Wimbledon and Wandle Scout district, and can trace our history back over 100 years. Through a structured programme of adults working in partnership with young people we make a positive contribution to society by helping young people achieve their full physical, intellectual, social and spiritual potential as individuals, as responsible citizens and as members of their local, national and international communities.

This service began in 1992 to help the members of this community access professional counselling (via our 40 volunteer counsellors) who would otherwise be unable to do so.Hastings is a coastal area with high levels of deprivation (defined as 'the damaging lack of material benefits considered to be basic necessities in a society') experienced by a large proportion of the community.Determinants of deprivation e.g. unemployment, poverty are all known to impact negatively on emotional well-being. Please donate to support our cause.Each year over 600 clients pass through our doors, trying to cope with difficulties that include domestic abuse, physical, mental and sexual abuse, suicidal ideation, self-harm, depression, anxiety and more. We provide a safe, warm space for our clients to start understanding destructive patterns enabling them to make positive changes in their lives.“My counsellor helped me reflect on my past actions and how they brought me to my current state, she helped me realise which path I need to take to get over the violence in my life”‘When my counselling started it is no exaggeration to say I was in a complete state of despair,over the weeks my counsellor’s gentle and nurturing help,I have come to terms with bereavement,loss,rejection and low self esteem.I am a different person who is completely astounded by such a successful outcome after what is just 13 weeks. It promotes the development of young people in a way they find enjoyable to achieve their full physical, intellectual, social and spiritual potentials, as individuals, as responsible citizens and as members of their communities. We strive to ensure that no young person or adult is disadvantaged by reason of mental or physical disability, ethnic origin, gender, sexual orientation, religious or political belief, or financial situation. Child protection is paramount in all policies and activities. A code of good practice is operated to safeguard the welfare of all members by protecting them from physical, sexual and emotional harm. Young members actively help within the local community on a regular basis to forge good relationships with neighbours, the church and local organisations. The involvement of parents is encouraged at all times. The lasting impression of all members of 3rd Ashton, both past and present should be "Fun and Friends". We hold weekly meetings at the scout hut for all sections (boys and girls in beavers 6-8, cubs 8-10, scouts 10-14, young leaders 14-18 and girls in brownies 8-10 yrs) In addition we run camps for all sections each year, and a family camp. The programmes provided by the leaders and helpers are enjoyable and aimed at giving the youngsters respect for themselves and others, responsibility and confidence.
