DARTMOOR RESCUE GROUP is part of Mountain Rescue in England and Wales. Mountain rescue in the UK is free of charge to the casualty but we rely on the support and generosity of the public to maintain this valuable community service. Without you, we simply could not function. There are several ways you can support the work of the DARTMOOR RESCUE GROUP. It costs a tremendous amount to fund a mountain rescue team, one vehicle alone costs upwards of £35,000. But there is also a very large overhead in the running and replacement costs for items such as rope, which must be replaced after a given time, even if they have not been used. It costs about £30,000 a year to run the team and every penny you give goes to help mountain rescue teams of the DARTMOOR RESCUE GROUP
