The Friends of Brisley Primary School are a band of parents and teachers whos aim is to raise funds to pay for all the extra things the schools own budget wont stretch to but can have a huge impact on the pupils enjoyment of their school life. As well as buying a wide variety of play and educational equipment The Friends have regularly funded the transport costs for school trips, allowing the children to enjoy regular educational days out. We also recently gave every pupil a commemerative mug as part of their day of activities and celebration for the recent wedding of Kate Middleton and Prince William. Fund raising activities and events organised by the Friends include the Brisley village fete, quiz nights, sponsored events and ladies pamper evenings. We also frequently support other local and international charities including Brisleys twin school in Sri Lanka, the RNIB, Help for Heroes, Jeans for Genes, the Nancy Oldfield Trust and Melissa Ilboudo in her work to combat hunger and poverty in Burkina Faso, West Africa. Your support would be greatly appreciated by the children of Brisley C.E.V.A Primary School and the other charities we help along the way.

47% of babies born with Downs Syndrome also have congenital heart problems. Downs Heart Group provides parent friendly support and information to their families to enable them to make informed decisions about their childs future. We then support them every step of the way throughout life, being available whenever they need us. Our staff and the majority of our volunteers and trustees have direct links with someone who has Downs Syndrome and heart problems and they use their considerable personal experience to benefit other families. EVERY donation is valuable to us and helps us continue the work we have been doing for over 20 years, supporting a better life for people with Down's Syndrome and being there whenever we are needed.
