Christ Church Picture Gallery, Oxford (UK, 1143423) Browse events

YTD Raised: £0.00

Christ Church was established by Henry VIII in 1546. It is a unique joint foundation of a college in the University of Oxford and the cathedral of the diocese. Christ Church also has a designated art gallery, housing one of the most important private collections of Old Master paintings and drawings in Britain. It was open to the public since 1767 which makes it one of the first art collections in the country that offered free access to all interested art lovers. Our aim has been to preserve and display the collection for future generations. Among the works are nine fragments of a large panel depicting the lives of the hermits in the desert. These paintings are now in need of extensive conservation treatment. In order to be able to carry this out we have launched a fundraising campaign to SAVE THE HERMITS. For more information please follow the link to our website or find us on Facebook.

Zimbabwe Aid Fund UK (UK, 1144880) Browse events

YTD Raised: £0.00

The Zimbabwe Aid Fund UK (ZAF) has been established for the purpose of raising desperately needed funds and the sourcing of medical equipment and consumables to support the destitute elderly in Zimbabwe. The plight of the elderly is one of the less publicised outcomes of Zimbabwes social, economic and political collapse. There are a number of facilities for the aged spread throughout Zimbabwe, most of which are dependent on various levels of external funding to survive. Whilst the raising of funds for food is vital, of equal importance is the provision of medical services. Most of the medical facilities in Zimbabwe are run down. There is a lack of trained staff, a shortage of funds for medicines and consumables and most of the equipment is extremely old with many items being unserviceable as there are not the funds, skills or spare parts to repair them.

St Richard's School Bredenbury Court (UK, 1113203) Browse events

YTD Raised: £0.00

St Richard’s is a co-educational boarding and day school for 2½ to 13 year olds.  While the school is founded on the Catholic faith and Christian values are paramount, we welcome children of all denominations.  St Richard’s is set in 35 acres of glorious Herefordshire countryside. We have recently launched an Appeal to enable us to raise funds for the refurbishment of the Hirons Hall, our indoor sports hall with which any Old Ricardian will be very familiar.  Primarily, we intend to re-roof and re-clad the Hirons Hall and install heating.  Our second phase is to build changing facilities alongside the Hirons Hall; this will have the added benefit of releasing a lot of pressure around the back corridors of the main building.  To improve access to this area and parking in general we will re-model the staff carpark and create a more aesthetically pleasing approach to the school.  Any surplus funds at this stage will be channelled towards the updating and refurbishment of the school's other facilities. Please join us in making this a successful and exciting project; we have set ourselves a demanding challenge but are confident that, with the loyal support of all those who come into contact with the school, it is all very achievable.

Morning Star Children's Charity is a UK Registered Charity which was started in 1990 by Harold and Barbara Blake following their service in Nepal with the Baptist Missionary Society. The charity started a programme for the welfare of destitute, homeless and helpless children in Nepal and runs a children's home in Kathmandu, Nepal called Morning Star Children's Home. Today the home provides a loving, caring and Christian family home for 52 children which were ether abandoned by their parents, or orphaned through sickness or the long running Mouist war in Nepal. The children living in the home are provided with food, shelter, clothes, medical care and education.  The house parents are Bishnu and Muna Parajul, run the home and give the necessary love and care to help the children overcome their physical and mental traunas of their previous lives. "From the very beginning our mission has been for the children to grow up knowing the love of God and Jesus Christ and for the children to be truly joined together in Christian love." We invite you to be a part in our vision. Morning Star Children's Chairy needs your prayer and financial support. Come and be blessed by sharing your love with these destitute children.
