We host countless events each year.We employ around 160 people. Our disability services have around 250 clients. 14 local businesses are based here, and around 35 charities and community groups use our facilities each week.We run and maintain 5 buildings across 3 sites, and we have the area's largest indoor community space, at 2900sq/ft. We're mostly based in Hillsborough, Sheffield, but we have a little getaway in Wales too.We're a Community Benefit Society (number 28699R) which means we do all this on a not-for-profit basis, and we've been here since 1998. Thank you for visiting our profile page on MyDonate.Inspire Young People is a charity  which organises events and competitions that challenge young people studying in Further Education Colleges to realise their full potential; that are designed to test skills that are relevant to working in their area of study; that are co-designed with business experts to develop the skills that employers are looking for; and which create awareness of the opportunities available within their chosen sector.Inspire uses role models as a motivating force.  We are extremely fortunate in having the support of people who have come from modest backgrounds and have reached the top of their chosen professions through hard work, determination and a love for what they do. Our role models are heavily involved in their challenges, having been involved in the initial design, and leading the judging panels and attending the final events.We are currently thrilled to be working with the following role models:Errol Douglas, MBE - celebrity hairstylistAshley Palmer-Watts - Chef Executive at Dinner with Heston BlumethalMark Webber - Former F1 and World Endurance Championship Driver  Current Challenges:Inspire Hairdressing Photographic Competition Students enter one photograph into a number of categories. Six entries in each category are selected for the final event in June, where there is an exhibition of their work and the category and overall winners are announced.  The winner gets a day with Errol - in 2017 this was to go backstage at London Fashion Week, while Errol styles models for the catwalk.Inspire Hospitality and Catering ChallengeWorking in teams of 3, students design a restaurant concept, to include name; location; menu, wine list and pricing; layout and decoration; basic financials etc.  The best entries are invited to compete in the final, at which they prepare a dish which epitomises their restaurant concept, and serve it the judging panel.  The winning team get to spend time with Ashley in the Fat Duck Group restaurants, and in 2017 were invited for lunch in the private dining room at Dinner.Mark Webber Youth ChallengeHosted by RAF Halton, teams of 12 compete for the trophy by taking part in gruelling physical challenges including hill running; drill; high ropes; laser shooting; circuits etc.  It's a tough day!
