St. Mark's Church is situated on the Village Green at the heart of Natland near Kendal on the southern outskirts of the English Lake District. It serves the communities of Natland, Oxenholme, The Oaks and beyond.
Harrogate Lions Club is a community minded organisation of volunteers who are dedicated to the welfare of others less fortunate. The Club is an affiliated member of Lions Clubs International which is the largest service organisation in the world with over 2.3 million members in more than 202 Countries and geographical areas. Lion members come from all walks of life and give there time freely to help others. Fundraising is necessary to help them cary out this voluntary work in the community and Internationally. The Lions are particularly proud that they were able recently to raise £80,000 to provide a new state of the art laser laser machine for Harrogate District Hospital. Lions take great pride in that every penny which they raise from fundraising goes direct to charitable use. They have many projects including youth and the elderly, donations will help with these projects as well as helping with the welfare of others.
To advance the education of people in East Africa by providing educational courses, training material, grants and resources in the subject of career guidance and to provide career library material and resources in these countries, targeting young people and members of the public at large.

Freshfields Animal Rescue has been providing shelter and sanctuary for almost 30 years. No healthy animal is ever destroyed. All admissions exhibiting severe behavioural problems will be treated fairly, appropriately, without prejudice and without recourse to euthanasia. Priority given to strays, mistreated animals and those whose owners have died.
