It commemorates the links between the 300 child Holocaust Survivors who came to the Lake District in 1945 and the community that welcomed them. The project has featured and been involved in many national and international media productions including the award winning The Windermere Children drama and documentary, and the BAFTA winning WDYTYA. The aim is for children today to be inspired by the remarkable resilience of the young survivors and to hand on their stories to future generations.
