Pupils, parents, teachers and friends of Neville's Cross Primary School challenging themselves and becoming a Neville's Cross Battler. We are a group of parents, teachers and friends of Neville's Cross Primary School who organise a range of sponsored activities to raise funds for the school to benefit the children and local community. We are raising money to build a MUGA (multi use games area) on part of the school field. Neville's Cross primary school is over 100 years old and the number of pupils is growing every year due to increased housing in Durham City. The school yard is increasingly crowded and the field is waterlogged for a large part of the year restricting outdoor play and learning opportunities. The Neville's Cross Battlers was set up in 2015 by four parents who successfully swam the English Channel on 31st July 2016. The logo and team name was designed by children at the school as part of a competition. The Battlers are now supporting others who want to achieve their goals be it sporting or otherwise.
