We have a small number of staff, a board of trustees, almost 200 volunteers and 450 members. Our exhibitions and events are delivered by our volunteers and members who have a passion for telling the story of North Shields and its Fish Quay and for helping others to understand and enjoy our amazing coastal area and its wildlife. Since 2015 we have become a thriving community hub. We have brought life back to the oldest surviving building on the Fish Quay and have welcomed well over 160,000 visitors through our doors. During that time we have delivered 220 community events and almost 30 exhibitions.
