Nunnykirk School is a Department for Education approved, non-maintained special school for pupils with dyslexia needs, Mild-ASD and associated needs, including Dyspraxia, Dyscalculia, Dysgraphia, and raising self-esteem. Since 1977 we have provided for the educational and social needs of boys and girls of average or above average intelligence who experience specific learning difficulties primarily dyslexia and mild ASD.
A National Voice is the only charity in England run by and for care experienced young people. Our aim is to create positive changes to the Care System providing a platform to hear the voices of young people within and leaving care at a Local, Regional and National Level.

We provide financial, practical and social support to families of children and young people diagnosed/receiving treatment for childhood cancer at the NUH. We deal with isolation experienced following the diagnosis of cancer, the associated financial difficulties and physical and mental wellbeing

Family Focus is a unique support group which has provided practical help over the past 12 years to over 600 families facing serious difficulties. The English Endurance Riding Team represent their country at the Home International Competition, which in August 2010 will take place in Scotland. Going to Scotland is a huge goal for this team of keen amateur riders. In the absence of any grants they all need help to raise the funds for transport, kit, stabling etc.

Since its formation in 1953 the League of Friends of the Kent & Canterbury Hospital CIO has raised nearly £7m, providing extra comforts and high calibre medical equipment for the benefit of patients, staff and vistors. Examples of the many and varied gifts are: an instrument set for the state of the art Da Vinci Surgical Robot, electric patient hoists for Occupational Therapy, 173 bedside tables for all in-patients, 113 electric Huntleigh profiling beds, numerous waiting room tables and chairs, bladder scanners and a recent contribution of £272,000 to the Hospital Trust’s appeal for digital mammography equipment. In addition, the League has funded the refurbishment of the Hospital’s hydrotherapy changing cublicles and jointly funded the creation of a sensory garden for Neuro Rehabilitation patients and their families The League also runs four highly successful hospital shops and a daily ward trolley round, managed by a small team of paid staff and 90+ dedicated volunteers. Other services include a daily Hospital Radio broadcast, ward library trolley round and a mealtime companion service, all of which exemplify our commitment to serve patients, staff and visitors to the hospital. Nine City and village groups form the backbone of the League and meet regularly to raise money from local events. Our main fundraising event is the annual joint Summer Fair in August which always takes place on the Saturday before the August bank holiday weekend, where hospital staff, League members and the public come together for an entertaining fundraising afternoon.
We are a Committee run independent Pre-School for children aged 3 years to rising 5. We are a non profit making charitable organisation. We opened in January 2009. The vision of The Committee, The Parents and The Staff is To be An Outstanding Early Years Provider.
