The Sheffield Marathon Charities Trust is the charity arm of The Sheffield Marathon Ltd, promoters of the SIG Insulations Sheffield Half Marathon and Fun Run. The Centre supports vulnerable people at risk of social exclusion- unemployed, elderly, refugees and asylum seekers, the homeless or at risk of being homeless, people with learning difficulties & mental health problems. It provides counselling, practical help, befriending, signposting, food, drop-in sessions, art and craft, ESOL and games.

We enjoy networking and giving something back to people who are less fortunate. Our mission is to raise money to enable us to continue to help the thousands of disadvantaged families in the North of England and further afield, including in the third world, who rely upon Angels of the North for support, with the provision of foodstuffs, medicines, clothing, toys and household requisites, all free of charge. All funds raised directly benefit poor families and young people with a focus on alleviating disability, combating illness, improving quality of life, encouraging personal development and helping to provide everday essentials. Angels of the North receives large quantities of donated goods every week which are distributed by 80 unpaid volunteers with the support of 26 unpaid trustees.
