We train traditional birth attendants in safe delivery practices. Our community based village health worker volunteers can give life saving treatment and prevent common diseases such as malaria, diarrohea and HIV. Many children in Kaduna suffer from ricketts, our support helps these children to access surgery or calcium supplements to strengthen their bones. We help to improve education in rural areas by building and upgrading village schools and providing supplies such books and desks, alongside adult and child literacy classes, and teacher training. Our water programme provides clean drinking water through the construction of wells. We are saving the lives of young children who would otherwise suffer high rates of water borne diseases, and often die before their fifth birthday.
