The Manuel Bravo Project is a Leeds-based charity that provides legal assistance forasylum seekers who cannot access Legal Aid. We specialise in providing a bespoke trauma-aware service for refugees. In addition to our general casework, we offer a specialised service for survivors of gender-based violence.Without the Project’s support, vulnerable asylum seekers would be forced to present their case themselves in court, often with little or no knowledge of the English legal system. We believe that asylum is a human right and that everyone should have fair andfree access to justice. Your support helps us keep fighting for refugees' rights. A small amount of money makes a huge difference to a volunteer-centred organisation such as ours and every penny you donate has a real and meaningful impact on the lives of people who have nowhere else to turn. Eden's Project is a youthwork charity that started in 1999 and since that time has supported well over 2,000 local young people! Eden’s is a charity that supports ALL young people and help them achieve their true potential, through mentoring, support and providing positive opportunities. Eden's provides safe and enjoyable youth clubs for young people as an alternative to hanging around the streets and the dangers that can go along with this. For the past 18 years Eden’s has rented a youth centre in Sudbury, it is an amazing venue for youth clubs and other positive youth activities. The basement area is perfect for the needs of young people, with wonderful character and chill-out spaces. The building has been adapted to suit the work of the charity, this includes a smoothie bar, a catering style kitchen with hatch to the conservatory, a music room and recording studio as well as office space and small meeting room. Our landlord has recently passed away and we now have a first option to buy the buildings at a preferential rate. Eden's is hoping to raise £180,000 by the January 2019 deadline. Otherwise we will lose this fantastic venue for the youth of the area! The money will be spent on buying the buildings (44/45 Gainsborough Street), pay costs and complete much needed repairs and renovations (any unspent monies would go to support the vital ongoing work of the charity). Empowering individuals to conquer their dream - Sailing is one of very few sports in which having a physical disability does not have to be a disadvantage. Through its adaptive sailing programme, The Even Keel Project gives both the able bodied and disabled the opportunity to participate together in a sailing activity that would otherwise be normally outside their reach. The project's philosophy stems from the importance of accessibility, the idea of breaking down barriers and creating a fun and functional environment that will increase participation and challenge individuals with disabilities to achieve more than they thought possible. Support the Even Keel by sponsoring Dave Rutter on his cycle Ride from ohn O’Groats in the far North of Scotland to Lands End. www.virginmoneygiving.com/DavidRutter1

Great Wood Camp is a modern venue with a rich Christian heritage. It is owned and managed by The Great Wood Trust (GWT), a charitable trust company limited by guarantee. The vision of the Great Wood Trust is to provide a special residential experience which will help people of all ages, but especially children and teenagers, on their spiritual journey from complete ignorance of the good news of Jesus to mature Christian discipleship. Imagine, a grassy clearing, a small field in the midst of a pine forest, with a stream running down the side. Canadian log cabins clustered round a camp fire, where stories are told in the evening, with sparks rising to the starry sky. Imagine driving up a forestry track and arriving for the first time to spend several days exploring the great outdoors, and learning bushcraft and the care of the environment. Imagine a truly spiritual experience, which has the potential to last a lifetime. Welcome to Great Wood Camp! Great Wood Camp Mess Hut Appeal We have launched a fundraising appeal to replace our 50 year-old kitchen & central building to ensure that Scripture Union and other camps can continue to meet there throughout the 21st century. Great Wood Camp recently came under the auspices of the Great Wood Trust, after more than 50 years ownership by Scripture Union. It continues to host SU summer camps as well as Christian weeks run by the Great Wood Trust itself and residential courses for the local education authority in term time. The 50 year old central building, known as the 'Mess Hut', has major structural problems with its roof, and the rest of the hut has deteriorated too much to bear a new roof. The proposed replacement will cost £650,000 of which £230,000 has been raised and the we want to reach £325,000 before we start to build, our target is this September.
