Thank you for visiting our profile page on MyDonate.Heartstart Malvern (Registered Charity Number 174427) is trying to increase the chance of surviving a cardiac arrest in Malvern. The chance of surviving a cardiac arrest is in Malvern is less than 10%. If more people were trained in simple resuscitation techniques, and more defibrillators were available in the community for members of the public to use, this could be increased to at least 25%.  Please donate to support our cause. Heartstart Malvern is now providing free resuscitation training, which includes how to use a defibrillator, and is installing defibrillators around Malvern. Since our launch in 2017 we have provided free resuscitation training to over 1400 people. We have also helped installed ten public access defibrillators. The training which we deliver is completely free. However, it costs just under £5.00 to train one person. This covers the cost of the consumables which we use during the training and will help cover the cost of the training equipment as it wears out.A public access defibrillator costs just over £1,500 to buy and install. This includes £1,000 for the defibrillator and £500 for the special cabinet which it needs to be kept in. We receive no statutory funding and rely on donations to support our training and the cost of installing public access defibrillators. For more information about Heartstart Malvern, please visit  www.heartstartmalvern.org.uk  Charity No: 1170697 Find out more Website https://www.heartstartmalvern.org.uk

We work with creative arts practitioners, filmmakers, musicians and writers to create high quality arts projects. We also train volunteers and engage members of the local community in our work. We are based in Twickenham in the borough of Richmond upon Thames which is famous for its Rugby, Rock'n'Roll, the landscape painter William Turner, the writers Virginia Woolf and Horace Walpole and the Royal Deer Park on top of Richmond Hill. We’ve launched a campaign to commission, fund and erect a statue of Virginia Woolf in Richmond-on-Thames where she lived with her husband Leonard from 1914 to 1924. Virginia developed as a writer there and wrote short stories, essays, reviews and novels while living in Richmond.
