We are affiliated to the Trussell Trust, a Christian charity committed to community action against poverty and marginalisation. We meet the needs of all, regardless of faith or no faith, gender and race. The provision of food to individuals and families provides tangible support. We aim to provide tinned food that as far as possible offers a balanced diet that is geared towards the number of adults and children in the family. We seek the support of the local community, both individuals and business. In addition to weekly church food collections we hold regular supermarket collections. We hold monthly store collections at Sainsbury’s, Tesco, Asda and Morrisons. We also involve local schools, who donate food at Christmas and Harvest. Our aim is to involve as many people as possible; we regularly visit churches, church groups and schools promoting the work of the Foodbank.
