Back on Track, in partnership with Activate learning and other Oxfordshire based charities, aims to transform the lives of young people aged 15-17 who are Not in Education, Employment or Training (NEET) or at risk of becoming NEET. Although we can’t offer accommodation, we are able to support young people who present to us as homeless. We can help by signposting them to the right people to get them on the housing pathway; help them to fill in any forms; and make calls to the necessary people. Unfortunately, before emergency accommodation is given, young people must be verified as street sleeping and so we can provide them with a tent, sleeping bag and access to food whilst they are waiting for this to happen.
