The Heritage of London Trust (HOLT) was founded in 1980 and is the only building preservation trust to cover all of London. We are a non-profit organisation dedicated to supporting the protection and regeneration of London’s historic buildings and monuments so that they can be used and enjoyed by local communities and charitable groups. The Trust promotes this work through grants towards repairs and restoration work. HOLT has championed the conservation and intelligent re-use of London’s historic and listed buildings and monuments for the enjoyment of future generations for over 30 years. Our proven track record includes the investment of well over £3 million into over 400 successful regeneration projects across the capital. London’s historic buildings are not simply remnants of our cultural heritage but are also vital features in the everyday life of London’s communities. Today these buildings offer spaces and places where local people can learn, work, play and find support and assistance when they are in need. We also have an educational programme of walking tours, lectures, visits and events that are open to everyone who is interested in London and its rich cultural history.

Without the generosity of our friends, University College School would not be the distinctive school that it is.  From the first appeal in 1905 which moved the school to Frognal through to the Centennial Appeal a century later, the UCS community has built, supported and strengthened School.  Please help us to keep alive the special quality of a UCS education.  The UCS Development Office seeks to raise annual support from Old Gowers, Parents and Friends towards the School's important aims of widening the access to UCS, continuing to upgrade and improve our facilities and equipment for teaching and learning and to create imaginative community outreach programmes each year. UCS Fee Assistance – Gifts of all levels will do much to strengthen UCS' strong tradition of being a truly inclusive school. The opportunity to study at UCS provides life changing experiences which will extend beyond a pupil's time at Frognal.  Awards of fee assistance cover all academic costs including tuition, books, exam fees and educational trips.  Awards are made to qualifying pupils at the Senior School entry points and are given on a purely means tested basis. A Steinway for UCS - Music is at the heart of University College School.  Generations of our pupils have discovered and developed their love of choral and instrumental music while at UCS.   To enrich and extend these traditions, it is our ambition to purchase a Steinway Model D to match the talents of our young musicians and match the scale and acoustics of the Great Hall.  UCS has not invested in a grand piano for the Great Hall nearly 30 years.   Our Yamaha C7 was purchased used and is now showing its age.  The tone has become too bright, brittle and underpowered for such a large and resonate performance space.  We are keen to involve as much of the UCS Community as possible and gifts of all sizes are most welcome.  UCS in the Community – UCS extends its reach out of the classroom through our innovative Community Outreach programmes. These important initiatives not only benefit our local community, but provide valuable experiences for our pupils as well.   Each year, UCS and Highgate School present a very special summer school programme for gifted and talented children from Camden and Haringey.  Lessons include Science, Design Technology, Music and Maths.  UCS is also involved with several local primary schools, UCL Academy, Westminster Academy and charities throughout the UK and around the globe.  Gifts of all levels are valued and appreciated for our current projects and there are flexible and varied ways for you to participate.  The Development Office is always available to assist you in any way on 020 7433 2139 or via [email protected].  We look forward to hearing from you!

ENGAGING YOUNG LIVES Caius House Youth Club has served the community in Battersea, London for over a century supporting the development of young people between 11-21 years old. MAKING THE BEST OF OURSELVES At Caius House with the young people of Battersea we aim to make the very best of ourselves personally, at work and in the community by accepting the Caius House Challenge, which is Together, finding the inspiration for fulfilling the potential that we all have, both for our futures and the good of everyone within the Battersea community. The youth centre empowers young people through social interaction, support, education, music, media, sports and the arts. Guiding and inspiring young people to become great adults. Caius House is a charity and youth club which has been serving the community of Battersea for well over a century. By 2008 the Caius House youth club building (located on Holman Road) had served the local the young people of Battersea for well over a century and was badly in need of renovation; however the layout was thought to be totally unsuitable for a modern youth centre and so the Trustees decided to sell the plot of land (in conjunction with a neighbouring plot of land belonging to Wandsworth Borough Council) to a developer who would build residential accommodation with space for a modern state of the art youth centre on the first two floors. The gift aid donations we receive from fundraising continue to provide great support for our youth at caius house and will help the amazing new building project come to fruition.
