(UK, 1125066) Browse eventsThe Marble Project exists to help those who need it most in Bulgaria. Our aim is simply to improve the quality of life of the children and elderly, both in material ways but also through human contact. We visit the town a throughout the year and once a year around 12 to 15 of our members travel to Bulgaria to try to make a practical difference. They fund all their own travel and accommodation costs and other expenses; it is a point of pride for the Marble Project that administrative costs are as near to zero as it is possible to get them so that the money we raise goes where it should. We help out practically by building shelters for the elderly, painting, running handicraft classes for the orphanages and buying much needed equipment for the care homes and orphanages. We also run a Fun Day for the orphanages and a sports day for the local schools. Please visit our website - www.TheMarbleProject.org - for more information on our projects

Hounslow Music Service is a charity that provides high-quality instrumental and vocal tuition to school-aged children across the London Borough of Hounslow. Our range of programmes supports the development of musical talent, both in and out of the school environment. We offer instrumental and vocal lessons in and out of school; whole class instrumental teaching at primary level; a structured, progressive programme of bands, orchestras and choirs; and inspirational projects with partners such as the Philharmonia Orchestra. We also manage a large stock of instruments which are available to for our students and schools to hire, and we open our music library to support school-based bands and orchestras. The HMS Bursary is a new fund to support music education for young people in Hounslow. It has been set up to raise funds to support more children to learn to play an instrument or to sing. The more money we raise, the more children we can support. £20 could buy a set of books to help a child prepare for an examination. £38 could pay for instrument hire for a term. £80 could pay for a term’s membership of all bands and orchestras for two siblings. £230 would fund 1 term at Saturday Music Academy, offering a bespoke programme including choir, theory, instrumental lessons and membership of an unlimited number of bands and orchestras. Every penny donated will reach a child, so your gift, no matter how small, will make a difference.

India Hope is a Christian based organisation, and the activity of the charity is to look after over 6,000 orphans and needy children by providing them with a home to live in, food and an education. Many of our orphan children progress their education with vocational training in our Technical and Nursing schools and bible colleges. The charity also looks after 26 leper colonies providing a much-needed mobile medical clinic and medical assistance and food for the most vulnerable. We raise funds continually to enable us to install water wells in rural villages so there is clear running water in the village for everyone.
